[This glossary is still a work in progress.]

When researching a 15th century Italian wardrobe there are a lot of terms the average modern English speaker today would not recognise. Here you can find a glossary (in progress) of some of the terms used.

This glossary is largely compiled from Dressing Renaissance Florence by Carole Collier Frick and Renaissance Dress in Italy by Jacqueline Herald. I have not copied either glossary in its entirety so recommend referring to the original works for the full copies of the glossary.
